D.W. Thomson (Blacksmiths) Ltd is a medium sized, family owned company founded by Dave Thomson, who is a time-served blacksmith, in 1979. Since that time the company and it's workforce has grown steadily, moving premises to a well equipped 2,600 square metre workshop located approximately four miles North West of Perth in 2002. This location is ideally situated close to the primary motorway network allowing easy access to all parts of the country.

In November 2009 the company achieved both ISO 9001(2008) and ISO 14001(2004) accreditation. All the employees are CSCS registered with a large percentage holding Site Safety Supervisor qualifications and First Aid qualifications.A number of employees have also received additional training in areas such as PASMA, PAL, MEWP, Telescopic Handlers amongst others, giving us the ability to undertake a wide variety of site work while fully complying with safety regulations.
